Getting rid of chin acne is like getting rid of most other types of acne but you need to keep in mind that we have a bad habit of touching our chin.  Sometimes we lean our chin on our hands. Sometimes we lean our chin on the top of someone else’s head. These are all no-nos when trying to keep your chin acne free!  You need to try to keep your chin from touching anything.

You also need to ensure you give your chin, and under your chin, just as much washing treatment as the rest of your face. Sometimes we wash our face and forget to use our acne wash on the bottom of, and underneath, our chin.

Many people, men and women alike, also grow chin hairs and may shave, pluck or wax the chin area.  Ensuring that you prepare, cleanse and exfoliate  your chin properly are very important when you are getting ready to remove hair from the area.  Hair follicles can become clogged and infected, creating acne.  Hair can become ingrown creating another type of acne.

Getting rid of acne is very very possible with proper treatment and knowledge.

Getting Rid of Zits Over Night

Loony LunaGetting rid of zits over night for that big school day, date, wedding, or other appearance can be a frantic moment that sends you into desperation for a solution.

Relax, you can at least reduce the appearance enough that you can cover it so it’s not even noticeable even if it doesn’t completely disappear (it will look like it did!)

One of my all-time fav treatments for quick zit relief is the drying lotion or the rapid clear.  The stuff really works miracles.  I usually apply it over affected areas every few hours and the difference really is amazing (and I’ve been known to use them both! But only on the affected areas or zits.) Using the oxygen mask is also a great way to bring quick relief when used prior to the drying lotion or the rapid clear.

When fighting acne, you really do need to have the proper treatments in your bathroom cabinets.

If you don’t have these products onhand (go ahead and order them for next time) but you can use some home remedies like covering the zit with white toothpaste overnight or applying shaving cream to the zit overnight.

If the zit isn’t completely gone the next day, it will have reduced enough in appearance to be covered up with a little makeup. Use some cream (not liquid) base on the affected area and no one will notice that little unwanted red bump! (Yes, men, even you can use a dab of this on the area and no one will notice you have a tiny dab of makeup on!)

Getting Rid of Arm Acne

Kid Acne stencilGetting rid of arm acne is, in some ways, similar to getting rid of other acne including back acne.

One thing to remember about arm acne is that tight fitting clothes can prevent dead skin cells from shedding off of the skin, clogging your pores and causing acne.  If you sweat while wearing tight fitting clothes, that’s an even higher risk.

It’s important to remember not to pop or scratch arm acne because like any other acne, it will leave scars if you do. It’s also important to shower frequently to keep your arms clean and even consider exfoliating with either a scrub or a loofah (or something similar) (but don’t scrub the acne itself).  This will keep your skin clean and help remove the dead skin cells and dirt that are clogging your pores.

Using a mild soap will work fine but you can also use an acne cleanser just like you would on your face. You can effectively use these cleansers on any part of your body. You CAN get rid of pimples with proper treatment!

Getting Rid of Redness

2009 tomato cropGetting rid of redness can seem impossible but there are some tips and tricks that you can use to achieve this.

1. Hold a wet teabag on the red area for a few minutes.

2. Hold the red area over steamy water (if it’s on your face you can heat up some water on the stove and hold your head over the steam and place a towel over the back of your head to prevent too much steam from escaping). This might seem like it will redden the area more but in fact it gets the blood in the area around the redness circulating so that your skin looks more even in color.  You can also use a very warm cloth over your face (when the cloth starts to cool, re-warm it and continue the treatment – this will often take several applications of the warm cloth). After completing this treatment you can apply some cool (ice or cold cloth) to ONLY the red area – again helping even out the appearance of the color of your skin.  You’ve increased the bloodflow around the area and now you’ll use the coolness to reduce the actual inflammation of the red area.

3. It’s been said that a mixture of crushed aspirin and water applied to the area works well.

4. Use a skin lightening cream to the red area (just a little and only temporarily).

The best way to avoid having to get rid of redness is to use acne prevention methods.

Getting Rid of Pimples Naturally

Day 336 / 365 - Enormous PustuleGetting rid of pimples naturally can be achieved in as little as a matter of days.  Yes, it really can.  These methods have been published by the medical community and discussed on news channels and other living shows.  So why don’t doctors just tell you how to do this instead of having you spend tons of money to cure your acne?  Well, I’ll leave that for you to answer =)

I found a Sea Salt treatment that can be used to get rid of pimples naturally and it’s as follows:

1.  Use 2-3 teaspoons of sea salt in a cup and add a half of  a cup of HOT water.

2. Stir the mix with a Q-tip and apply the Q-tip to your pimple and hold it there for 15 minutes.  Repeat the process several times throughout the day.

Alternatively, you can soak a cotton ball in the solution for 1 minute and then apply the cotton ball to the pimple for 15 minutes.

If you’re looking for more of a long-term method to get rid of pimples naturally (basically cure your acne so you don’t have to deal with pimples anymore), use the method that I mentioned has been widely publicized amongst the medical community – Getting Rid of Acne Naturally.  This treatment takes all contributing factors of acne into consideration and teaches you how to nix those factors right out of your life (and off of your face).

Getting Rid of Zits Quickly

Squeezing only makes them angrierGetting rid of zits quickly is a task acne sufferers are frequently faced with.  Those big red bumps pop up on our face, and always at the worst time. They can be painful and seem to last forever.  When we have to face the world, we start trying to figure out how we can exterminate the little fellow on our face that seems to have his own voice screaming “HEY, Look at ME!”

Never fear, there are a few things you can do to silence the unwanted visitor.

A popular tip is to use white toothpaste.  Cover the zit in white toothpaste overnight and wake up with a much smaller, less noticeable spot on your face.  The toothpaste helps dry out the zit, reducing it in size.

Another product which I absolutely love is the Neutrogena Rapid Clear gel found in the Acne Treatment Kit.  I keep a tube of this in my bathroom drawer and it works great.  Place the gel on the zit, and the surrounding area, and it’s sure to shrink within the day.  You can reapply it every 4-8 hours to really zap it and eliminate it extremely quickly.  And it’s clear so you can wear it out and no one will know.  This is truly a must for every acne sufferer.  I’ll admit sometimes I apply it to acne prone areas of my face once or twice a week, overnight, to help zap whatever is thinking about popping up. (If you have dry areas on your face, you might avoid these areas because it will dry it out more.)

Shaving cream is another ‘around the house’ alternative. The ingredients are supposed to dry out pimples as well, although I haven’t personally tried this one I’ve heard it’s effective.  You would apply the cream to the zit and to a bit of the area around it and leave it on overnight (remember to only use white or you risk temporarily dying your skin).

DO NOT pop that zit! You’re only defeating the purpose (and making things worse) because the sore that will be left will be uglier than the pimple…and you risk spreading bacteria to surrounding areas (asking for another zit).

Getting rid of acne altogether is the best way to prevent these future popups.

Getting Rid of Acne in 3 days

Poster Acné

Yes, getting rid of acne in 3 days is possible.  But you can’t do it with over-the-counter acne treatment.  There’s a scientific method to the acne madness and if you follow it, you’ll clear your acne in a matter of days and stay acne free.

My first encounter with this method was on the Your Life A to Z Show but it’s also been featured on many other shows and in newspapers.  The method is all natural and a real embarrassment saver.  I hated having acne and suffered from various types all of my life until I started this treatment.

You don’t actually have to buy ‘drugs’ to clear your acne and many dermatologists, if frankly asked, will tell you this.  I suppose it’s just easier to write a prescription or treat you for high dollars themselves but this method doesn’t require any prescriptions or high dollar doctors’ fees.  It simply outlines what the medical community has been writing about for years.

Getting Rid of Acne in 3 Days is highly recommended for the effective treatment and prevention of acne.

Getting Rid of Acne Scabs

Monday, September 21, 2009 9:36
Posted in category Getting Rid of Acne Quick - Author : GettingRidofAcneQuick

NO to scabs

Getting rid of acne scabs is about as impossible as getting rid of a regular scab.  Don’t pick your pimples and you won’t get scabs! But, any acne sufferer knows that it’s way too tempting to pick at zits and try to pop them.  Unfortunately, this can leave ugly scabs and acne scars.

You’re pretty much going to have to simply wait for the sore to heal and the scab to go away BUT I’ve come up with a few tricks to help reduce the appearance of acne scabs.  I use those green scrubby pads (that you use to scrub dishes, NOT the silver ones that would literally rip your face apart!) and I GENTLY rub over the scab (emphasis on gently!).  This isn’t the best idea because it can cause tears in the skin that you can’t see with the naked eye and if done too roughly it can open up the sore again but, admittedly, I do it sometimes to help slough off the outer edges of the scab and reduce it’s size a bit.

Sometimes I also use a tweezer to get rid of those outer edges of the scab that aren’t really scabbed over the actual sore but rather just an extension of the scab created by fluids.

I’ve also found that using just a touch of makeup will help reduce the appearance but it won’t completely cover it…and if you use too much, it will actually make it stand out more.  I find this works best after I’ve smoothed the scab using the scrubby so the makeup applies and appears a bit more smooth.

A regular cover up skin (matched to your tone), a cream base (not liquid), or mineral makeup (seems to work best) will do the trick; although, again, it’s not going to completely cover it and using too much will actually emphasize the scab.

The best thing to do is prevent acne scabs by not picking your pimples (no matter how tempting) and by getting rid of acne and preventing it with proper treatment. Don’t just wait until the last minute, after your acne has flared up, to try to get rid of it.  Treat it before it even becomes a problem. (Yes, those of us that suffer from acne have to work on prevention because it’s actually much easier to prevent it than battle it when it’s a bulging appearance on our face.)

Clearing acne is much easier than getting rid of acne scabs.

Getting Rid of Shoulder Acne

Kid Acne

Getting rid of shoulder acne isn’t much different than clearing acne on your face or other parts of your body.  Acne is acne no matter the part of the body it plagues although there are a few factors to consider when acne appears on various body parts.

One thing to consider is the laundry detergent (and fabric softener or dryer sheets) that you use.  Some detergents contains perfumes and other ingredients that may contribute to acne on your arms, shoulders, back and other clothed areas.

Not only can some detergents contribute to acne in these places but also on your face because you’re also exposing your face to these detergents when you lay on your pillow! It’s also important that you frequently change your bedsheets and pillowcases (ideally every night).

Also ensure that you are wearing clean clothes everyday.  Sometimes we tend to throw on the same shirt and shirts or nightgown for a few nights in a row because we think since all we’re doing is sleeping, they’re not really dirty.  The fact is that we excrete oils when we’re sleeping and even sloughing dead skin cells off onto our clothes, even our sleeping clothes, so change those clothes every day and don’t sleep in the same thing twice unless it’s been washed.  Unfortunately, for us acne sufferers, we do have to take some extra steps that others might not to keep clear skin.

Also try not to wear clothes that are tight around your shoulders and arms if you suffer from acne in these areas.  Tight clothes can irritate the skin.

Thoroughly clean your skin every day and try not to rub or touch your shoulders if you don’t have to.  You might think you don’t do this very often anyway but if you pay close attention, you might be doing it more often than you realize!

In addition to keeping these tips in mind, consider an acne treatment for getting rid of acne (and preventing future breakouts), wherever it appears.
