Which Tool to use for blackhead removal? This is the most common question which comes to our mind when we prepare our self to remove Blackheads on our own. On an average around 1200 to 1500 people visit a beauty saloon for just skin care. A major part of this traffic is caused because of blackheads.
However, those who plan to remove blackheads using the tools available in market get confused with the number of products available in market. Here we will talk about these products and which one you should go for.
Before that few Do’s and Don’ts
Soften or steam the skin before attempting to extract blackheads. Only remove a blackhead when the head has obviously popped out from under the surface of the skin and is ready to be removed. Squeezing or pressing on blackhead sites that are not yet ready to be removed can cause a skin infection because the toxins mixed with oil that cause blackheads can shoot down into the skin instead of shooting out like they are trying to.
If you are a first timer I would suggest you to start with a Blackhead Removal Strips. This is the easiest and safest way of removing blackheads. Second step tool would be a Blackhead removal gun.
Tweezers :
Pointed Tweezers are used to squeeze a blackhead from its pore. Use of tweezers decreases the risk of skin damage.
Tissues :
You can use tissues and finders to pop out blackhead. For this first Soften the skin by either taking a facial steam or by keeping a warm cloth on your face then wrap tissues around your finger and cover both index fingers with tissue. Put your tissue covered fingers on each side of the blackhead, and gently push until the blackhead pops out of the pore. If the blackhead does not easily come out, do not continue prodding at the area because it can cause permanent skin damage.
Blackhead Removal Gun :
Blackhead removal guns uses vacuum to suck the blackheads out. First step again would be to steam your face and then use this gun. This Gun is considered as safest and highly effective as it is not that powerful to harm your skin.
Metal Loop Extractors :
The tool has a metal loop on both ends as you can see in the picture that is pushed directly over the blackhead forcing it out of the pore. These tools can be found at any drugstore, and should only be used when the blackhead is ready to come out and should only be applied with very gentle pressure.Professional stainless steel blackhead extraction tools are meant to be used by professionals because they can badly damage and even scar your face.
Double Spoon Extractors :
As you can see from the image it has got two spoon shaped ends with an application of little pressure you can force the blackhead to come out. Spoon extractors are useful for large blackheads. And the first step for this would be to again soften your skin.
Blackhead Removal Strips :
These popular strips use a glue to rip the blackheads out of the pores. After wetting the strip, stick it to any area that needs blackhead control. Wait 10 minutes, and rip the strip from your face.
