Can a dermatologist really help prevent skin scaring and discoloration?
My young nephew got a bump and cut right on his forehead from someone swinging a door right in his face. I am hoping that a dermatologist can help prevent scaring and maybe even after it’s done healing help it look better. He is biracial so his skin is darker on the outside. Can they help with skin discoloration? Please help.
He might want to apply vitamin E oil to the scar to minimize scarring. If he develops a keloid, a big scar, the dermatologist can inject it the Kenalog which causes the bump of the scar to dissolve and go away.
